Older roofing products (such as felt, asphalt or GRP) can also present problems when installing, especially in areas where hot works are not allowed. Any roof protrusions such as chimney stacks, air conditioning, pipes etc... can be hard to detail, making it difficult to achieve a perfect watertight seal without the added use of waterproofing products.
